Cardiff City will be touring the land of the Premiership in the summer pre-season the Far East but will there be a Premiership themselves. The Premiership is big business in Malaysia with Manchester United top of the tree and allow they play against local Malaysian teams the ground are full of Manchester United shirts.
The plan is to play two game one against a Malaysian Xl at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur and an un-named team at the moment. This is all to do with the Malaysian backers’ and part of chairman Peter Ridsdale plans to tie up with investment partners and open Cardiff City academies across Asia.
This is not the furthest Cardiff have travelled for a pre-season tour away back 1968 they toured New Zealand and Australia playing twelve game winning all but two which they drew.
All these plans look to lead to a positive outcome to the court date next Wednesday when the £1.9 million tax bill is due to be paid.
