Cardiff only remaining loanee defender Darren Dennehy has returned back to the club after a successful time with Gillingham.Since join the City from Everton in June 2008 the young defender has yet to play a game for the Bluebirds. He played a part in Cardiff’s tour of Portugal upon join the club and has been on the bench. He has been loaned out on a number of occasions. He had two spells with Hereford and in January more on to Gillingham.
He has been a hit with Gillingham with the manager saying of the player, "He has been outstanding for us.
"He’s a big player and he wins his headers, he has a decent left foot.
"Hopefully we won’t miss him too much next weekend and the last game because he is a left footer and he plays that position really well. It’s going to be up to someone else to do as good a job."
Dennehy has still a year left on his contract and he must been unsure of is future with the club. If he not in manager Dave Jones plans a move in the summer could be on the cards.
