First transfer rumour linked to Cardiff in a while pity in about one of our players. According to the Midlands Sunday Mercury the Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is eyeing Cardiff’s Chris Burke who is odds on favourite to be Player of the season with the Bluebirds fans.It was McLeish who gave the Scottish international this debut when they were both with Rangers and has long been an admirer on the Cardiff winger and his from this season could well open the eyes of a few managers
The paper is reporting they tried to tempt Cardiff with a £700,000 bid in January allow the club did say they had no bids at the time. Cardiff was looking for £2 million for the player by all accounts. With the clubs finance plight back in January I am surprised they didn’t snap their hands off.
The Midlands are looking to try again on the cheap again because of the cash-strapped position of the club. The only way a summer time fire sale is some really big investment or promotion
