I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

Tale of two papers

It’s the News of the World again putting out the rumour and is one will get the fans hopping mad. They are saying that Ridsdale will lose the chairmanship of the Bluebirds come in with investment but Ridsdale could stay on in the short term.

On the flip side the Sunday Mirror will have the fans tearing their hair out as they rumour of the days is that the Malaysians are urging Peter Ridsdale to say on as chairman. The paper is intimating it will be up to Ridsdale if he stays or goes once the deal is signed and sealed.

If the News of the world story is true the Malaysians would bring in their own man who it is unsure. It was thought Steve Borley would step in for the short term at least has he knows the in and outs of the club and holds the respect of most of the Cardiff City fans. The Mirror story would see Ridsdale still in control but would he be able to stay at a club where he as little or no support from the fans.

I do not get what is going on over these talks, are the Malaysians only investing or is this start of a takeover; £6million is very little money to talk control of a football club. That may be enough cash to save the club this season, but what about next. If the club are banking on the 6,000 season ticket holder yet to buy for next season there could be some disappointment for the club due there. Promotion would be need to shift enough season tickets now but that would be a drop in the ocean compared with the wealth you can receive for the final step up.

The investment of the £6million will hit the clubs coffers at the end of April according to all reports; it seems a long time to wait for the cash.
