I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

Still sixth but only just

Just a quick look at the table shows the City are dropping into a major battle for the five teams above pull away. Newcastle and Swansea dropped points while Nottingham Forest lost only West Brom and Leicester picked up points today there is now a five-point gap between Cardiff and the top five. Even though the Bluebirds lost at Leicester, they retained the sixth spot but have a host of teams in striking if Cardiff were to slip up any further.

Cardiff have to play Coventry Tuesday night one of the most improving teams in the Championship although there could only draw with Plymouth this weekend a win for the Sky Blues and they will jump above City pushing them out of a play-off spot.

Cardiff City manager Dave Jones said after today’s game, "We controlled the game for long spells. I know they had their spell, but it was a mistake that cost us and a little bit of inexperience from the throw-in.
"But I can see us starting to come back and once our returning players start to get sharper and have a few more games and a few more training sessions, then watch us go.
"The result is a big disappointment for us but I've seen some experienced players such as Stephen McPhail, Peter Whittingham and Mark Kennedy come back and show the form that is needed. That was the big light for me at the end of the tunnel.
"The players are angry and annoyed after that defeat but they shouldn't be disappointed. We have good determination but it is unfortunate we didn't come away with something."
