After the battle of the away dressing room between chairman Peter Ridsdale and manager Dave Jones peace talks are rumoured to be about to take place. By all accounts, it was an astonishing push-up after an angry Ridsdale burst into the dressing room after the game to lambast the players over the poor performance at Deepdale.
The under pressure Ridsdale normal visit’s the dressing room after games but this time told all in earshot exactly what he thought of the game. Jones and his assistant Terry Burton were reported left shocked by the outburst during which the City manager told Ridsdale he had no right to speak to his players like that.
Jones when straight from the dressing room to the team coach forgoing the post match press conference he was incensed by the row and helpfully missing press question about the row. Ridsdale left the stadium without commenting and the players were told not to talk to the press has they left the ground.
The players were in mid bollocking from Dave Jones when the chairman entered the dressing room and giving a passionate and emotional outburst. To be honest most if not all of the 600+ City fans at the game would have given them the same treatment after they just caved in to 10 men Preston who were all 1-0 up before the sending-off.
The press is reporting Ridsdale will be going to the training ground at the Vale of Glamorgan for clear the air talks.
