I have to admit when I saw the headline in the South Wales Echo ‘Now Blue’s fend off a winging-up order’ I did have a little chuckle to myself as I stood in the queue at Tesco. Could they own the Bluebirds rent money of the use of the Cardiff City stadium and the City take them to court.
A representative from the Blues said the tax bill relates to before Christmas and was paid immediately the count case was known about. The case was then dismissed the financial director at the Blues admitted to the Echo they were a month behind with a repayments at the end of last year.
It got me thinking what about the rent money, we have never been told (probably chairman Ridsdale would say it was business sensitive) what they are paying for the pleasure of playing in the new stadium. When they pay at the end of the season or like with the Wales friendly we keep the money and pay them straight away or at the end of the season.
