I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

Will Ledley play for the City again

Does Joe Ledley know something we don’t, has he taken a ride in Dr Who’s Tardis to the end of the season, well with a headline in the South Wales Echo like is “I’m targeting a return for the play-offs – Ledley” you would think he had.

Ledley as now had the two hip operation the need and is on the road to recovery. The Welsh international visits the Vale of Glamorgan training ground daily and users the static cycles and weights to up his general fitness level but a month from the next level. He told the paper he hopes to be back training with the team April. He hope's to be fit to catch the last few games of the season and the play-offs if Cardiff can keep their current league position. His last game before submitting himself to the surgeon's knife was that incredible 6-0 victory over Bristol City and without the play-off he could have played his last ever game for the Bluebirds.

He will be out of contract in the summer it is very unlikely the City will get a fee for him and will have to depend on the judgement of the transfer panel has he is under 24 years old. Without promotion, he is certainty to be on the for sale list in the summer. At yesterday’s EGM chairman meeting Peter Ridsdale said he was expecting to sell two players during the off-season last summer one of which was Joe Ledley.

Ledley told the South Wales Echo, “We all believe we can achieve what we want – and I am relying on the boys to get us to the play-offs.”
“I have been to see the surgeon this week and everything is fine,” said Ledley.
“I won’t be able to run for four weeks and there is no rushing back from these operations.
“If I try to get back before the right time I could fracture bones. I will be patient, but I am delighted with progress so far.
“I am intent on playing this season, hopefully in the play-offs and maybe before that.”
