I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

City still hanging on to sixth

Cardiff City managed to half last year score line at Preston today from 6-0 to 3-0 so maybe the next fixture could be 0-0 and after that the score could turn positive for the City.

If you believe stats Cardiff should have walked the game the BBC stats man gave the City a possession rate of 68% to Preston’s 32% and more attempts on target and off then the home team, but stats mean nothing if you do not score goals.

Defeat today has Cardiff still in a play-off place (6th) but there place looks shaky with teams piling up just behind them. Any hopes of automatic promotion are now over we are now fourteen points behind second place West Brom. Fifth place Leicester are five points ahead of Cardiff but it is the number of teams in striking distance of the sixth place at is worrying.

Only four points separate Sheffield Utd, Blackpool, Middlesbrough, Coventry and Barnsley next Saturday Cardiff have a tough home game against Middlesbrough who have had a hit and miss season were one of the favourite for automatic promotion. The City managed to squeeze 1-0 win at Middlesbrough earlier in the season and everyone would be happy with that on Saturday.
