I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

Automatic promotion still on the card???

I am with City boss Dave Jones when he says the top-two spots in the Championship are still there up for grabs, and a win tonight would be a great help.

Both top spot Newcastle and fourth place Nottingham Forest have been dropping points recently making it more interesting at the top. Between Cardiff and the top spot are four teams and 12 points, Cardiff also have a game in hand over three of the top four and two games over Nottingham Forest.

You hear a lot about a top six finish but a play-off place is no guarantee of promotion there are still two games plus a final to play. I have never like the play-off and the two header with Stoke City back in 2001/02 put any lingering thought of the play-off being fun. The target must be automatic promotion and it should be a mindset pumped into the head of the players.

What the Cardiff boss said on the subject, “Nothing is impossible. If you start giving up now and saying the top two are away then you might as well forget it.
“You are always in with a shout. If we beat West Brom and win our game in hand then the gap looks a lot closer.
“Forest are dropping points and everybody will drop points between now and the end of the season.
“It will be all about who can go on that little run and keep the consistency going until the end of the season.
“West Brom are a very, very good side and had a good result in the cup at Reading.
“But their concentration will be back on the league and they will want to keep their run going.
“We are both high scorers so it should be a feisty game. They will want maximum points to keep their push going and it’s the same for us.”

Games of interest playing tonight

Bristol City v Leicester,
Cardiff v West Brom,
Nottm Forest v Sheff Utd,
Plymouth v Swansea,

Playing tomorrow
Newcastle v Coventry,

A prefect outcome would be a City win and defeat for all our other promotion rivals
