The Daily Gazette have revealed that Cardiff midfielder Solomon Taiwo who only joined the Bluebirds back is August is going on loan to Colchester United. He joined the Bluebirds from Dagenham & Redbridge where the management and fans thought highly of the player.Taiwo came on last night in the 1-1 draw with Bristol City for the injured Gavin Rea with about five plus minutes to go before the end of the first half. He had a solid second half but his limited changes to play has manager Dave Jones keen to loan him out for more first team football.
Since joining the City, he has only started once and as made a number of appearances off the bench with Jones saying, "Sol is going out on loan to Colchester.
"He needs to play matches. Sol did well when he came on and that will do him no harm.
"If we don't get players in, he will have to stay, but I don't want him to stay and just sit him on the bench."
However, there has been no official announcement from either club just what Dave Jones said after the game last night. The Gazette is say the loan deal is on hold. The delay could be something to do with the Rae injury and the fact Cardiff would be light in midfielder if he were to go. This vast improvement since the Swansea game could also be a factor.
