Looks like Dave Jones had a wasted journey to watch Aston Villa/Blackburn at the weekend to check-out some possible targets. The players in question were rumoured to be midfielder Steven Reid from Blackburn and youngster Fabian Delph of Aston Villa.
This morning in the Irish media Reid said he wanted to stay with Blackburn and earn a new contract. While Aston Villa are not willing to loan out Delph who was a £6 million summer signing from Leeds.
Looks like Cardiff City boss Dave Jones will have to scrub them off his transfer wants’ list. The list was six strong but could be down to four now and it looks like no new players before Blackpool on Saturday,
