I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

"City ripe for investment" - Ben Steele

There is more from Ben Steele in today’s’ Wales on Sunday confirming his commitment to buy the Bluebirds and said, “I am a football fan who is excited about an opportunity to buy Cardiff City.
“I have the funds available and my aim is to help take Cardiff into the Premier League.
“I tried to buy Southampton last year and felt then I was stabbed in the back.
“They told me all along I was the front-runner and then it didn’t happen.
“I was ready and I wanted to press on, but it wasn’t to be.
“Cardiff City is now ripe for investment. I know all about the other parties interested in buying the club, groups from Malaysia and America, but I really believe I would be good for Cardiff.
“I love football. I was an Arsenal fan as a kid and still follow the Gunners.
“I go to matches occasionally, but not as often as I used to.
“Ever since I first made contact I have followed Cardiff through everything that has happen.”
“Will anything happen?
“I hope so. I really do. This could be a fantastic time for Cardiff City.
“That’s about right, not far off, and that would give a new owner a debt-free club.
“My ambition if I become owner, and I sincerely hope I do, is to build on what has already been achieved and take Cardiff into the Premier League.
“I’ve heard it suggested that because I am a property developer I would be tempted to asset strip.
“That’s ridiculous and nothing could be further from the truth. That’s not my sort of business and, believe me, I want to own a Premier League club.
“A lot of good work has already been done and I want to help Cardiff make further progress.
“If I buy the club then my aim would be to work closely with Peter and Dave Jones. Yes, I would want them both to stay.
“They are good, experienced men and have already brought the club a long way towards their Premier League ambitions.
“I will be at the game on Tuesday to watch the cup replay and I could be close to becoming Cardiff’s new owner or a million miles away.
“We will find out during talks this week. From my part we have started due diligence and I want to move forward as quickly as possible.”
“My interest was on the backburner for a while as my father-in-law died just before Christmas.
“But I am still extremely keen, and ready to push on. I’d love to think we can complete a deal.
“There are direct flights, it wouldn’t be a problem.
“If this goes ahead I will run the club as a business. I don’t intend to go in and lose vast amounts of money.
“It is a football club, but it is also a business.
“There is vast potential at Cardiff City. I am told the fans are passionate and hopefully I will find that out in the near future.”

From that interview he looks to be genuinely interested in buying the club he will be in Cardiff on Tuesday for talks and watch the Bluebirds take on Bristol City that night at the Cardiff City Stadium.
