Cardiff City are been linked with midfielder Martin Woods from Championship rivals Doncaster Rovers. The rumour is from Skysports.com who is leading this story and is also saying Middlesbrough is looking at the player.

On the unofficial Doncaster Viking Chat messageboard they run a ‘Man of the Match’ competition and Woods is eying for top spot and the fans rate him highly. He will be no free transfer of loanee; Doncaster will be looking to cash in on one of their biggest assets in the January transfer window if they have to. He was in the Doncaster at beat Cardiff early in the season and has scored five goals so far this season.

While one player is rumoured to be coming in one looks to be on his way out has manager Dave Jones has confirmed Tony Capaldi could sign a permanent deal with Leeds. Since joining the Division One club Capaldi has played a lot of football although he missed the last game he has impressed the management and could be on his way. Leeds look odds on to win promotion so a move could see the Cardiff defender back in the Championship next see.

Of the other three City players out on loan the future Darcy Blake must be sorted soon has he is due back at the Cardiff City stadium at the end of the month. Cardiff will have to wait and see what Plymouth decides to do, will they look for a loan extension until the end of the season or will they be looking for a more permitted arrangement.

Warren Feeney is on loan at Sheffield Wednesday and will be return and at Hereford Darren Dennehy is also due to return from his loan stint with the Second Division club.
