Ok I know this story is out of the News of the World, but it’s the first paper I read in a Sunday morning has I have a routine when it comes to my Sunday papers, so don't shoot the massager, here we go.
Cardiff City have a reported mystery buyer coming in with a possible takeover bid, the bibber is an English based multi-millionaire. I just hope it is not leading to another David (Mr West Ham) Sullivan story. The bidder is worth a reported a £100 million+, pocket money compared to some club owners these days. Peter Ridsdale according to the paper will be meeting the mystery bidder this week. The Langston debt deal is cited has the reason for the interest and the 40+ investor will would want to see the club’s accounts before upping his interest.
The club could become involved in a bidding war if this story is true with the Malaysian’s in the other corner. The Malaysian's were only interested in investing in the begin according to Peter Ridsdale but they are rumoured to be thinking along the line of a takeover now.
A club insider told the News of the World, “He’s extremely wealthy and his financial background has been checked out.”
Of course there is nothing official on this story and they is unlikely to be, unless the club feels the story must be denied.
