Cardiff City boss Dave Jones as more midfield problems with reports that Gavin Rae could be out for up to three weeks after he broke a bone in his hand against Peterborough at the weekend. With Riccy Scimeca, retired the perssure is on for Jones to find some new blood for the midfield it is only a few days before the January transfer window opens.
Other midfield problems are Stephen McPhail is out until at least the back end of January hopefully sooner and Joe Ledley is still playing carrying a hip injury, an injury that needs an operation, which could see him out for three months.
Dave Jones is likely to rest players for Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Bristol City to concentrate on the league but that should give some fringe players a chance. That could see Solomon Taiwo and teenager Aaron Wildig who is yet start a game in line for a call-up while Mark Kennedy could figure in Dave Jones plans. Kelvin Etuhu should be in the starting line up as a possible midfield option. Everyone will just have to wait and see what the manager has planned.
