Peterborough’s London Road ground is not a happy hunting ground for the Bluebirds the last and only time the Bluebirds beaten them at London Road was back in 1986/1987 season. The record of the rest of the games are pretty bad, of the eighteen times we have played them in the league home or away we have only managed to beat them a measly three times with five game being drawn and Cardiff have suffered ten defeats. That’s the history over, this season has been hard going in the Championship for the newly promoted Peterborough’s they lost their manager Darren Ferguson who left the club my mutual consent at the beginning of November. The last three home games has resulted in two draws with Middlesbrough and Swansea and the last home game they beat Watford. On their travels today to West Brom, they lost 2-0 leaving them bottom of the table.
The Cardiff boss as promised to ringing the changes for the trip to Peterborough hopefully he would shake up the usual suspects who are living on past performance. The transfer window cannot come soon enough for
Cardiff City boss Dave Jones said, “Maybe it’s time to shake the
“One or two of them did not heed the warning I gave them before the Plymouth game and football has got a tendency to kick you in the teeth.”
“I was going to make changes for Peterborough anyway.
“One or two of them might not be as good as they think they are.
“I will be looking for a response at Peterborough. This was a good opportunity for us but we have missed it.
“We were caught by a sucker punch and you could see it coming.
“They were waiting for one opportunity and when it came they took it.”
Everyone has their area of the team that annoys them, mine is the forward line, Bothroyd and Chopra are not cutting at the moment. You have to go back to the Swansea game for a Bothroyd goal and Chopra way back in the distant past of the end of September. Dave Jones goes on about the contribution they make to a game, the biggest contribution should be scoring more goals. McCormack has to start and I think Etuhu should be considered for a start as well. A bit of bench time for Chopra and Bothroyd could sharpen their minds and scoring ability.
