Some weeks ago Cardiff boss Dave Jones said he was interested in taking Manchester United midfielder Darron Gibson on loan. However, Jones interest coincided with a number of injuries for United boss and the emergence of Gibson into the first team.Since then he has been present in the team but Jones will have another go to sign the player on loan according to press reports to see if Sir Alex Ferguson could be persuaded to loan out his player out. If Sir Alex was to agree Cardiff could find themselves in bettle to sign him with a number of club watching from the side-lines. One thing is for sure Ferguson would be looking toward the Champointship to place him not the Premiership.
In the News of the World he said on the subject, "Why would Darron Gibson come here when he's playing for United?" said Jones in the.
"We've enquired about him in the past. I will go back to Sir Alex and ask him again about Darron.
"I will probably get the same answer as I did last time. He will chuckle down the phone and say 'Get lost!'
"Darron is in United's team at the moment and he has scored a few goals for them this season.
"I've got a good relationship with Sir Alex but I can't see him saying, 'Okay Dave, I've got no players but I'll let you have him'.
"But I'll ask because Darron is on my list.
"January is the halfway stage and we need to kick on for the rest of the season."
