Can you believe it today’s game has been called off. I thought our new state of the art new stadium had under-soil heating I remember seeing a picture’s on the old stadium website showing them being laid. I feel sorry for the Leicester fans that were making their way to Cardiff to watch a game of football.
Laying somewhere under the pitch a lot of lovely piping running up a down the pitch
and into the boiler room but that’s as far as it goes has the club decided to save a few quid and not to buy the boiler. This penny-pinching idea of whoever will cost them dearly and I hope chairman Peter Ridsdale is on the phone sourcing the bloody boiler with the cold snap hanging around, could the Plymouth game be at risk Can you believe it today’s game has been called off. The cold snap has been known about for days so why didn’t the ground staff prepare for it, cover the pitch or something. Surely, they did not wait until yesterday to start worrying they must have known the boiler was not there, or did the grounds man open the boiler room door only to remember it was not there.
Today’s game will prove costly, the programmes are wasted, but I suppose they will rehash them for re-scheduled with an insert. The food most of which will be frozen and defrosted for the Plymouth game but there will be some waste. The match day walk-up fans, which could be a few thousands, plus fans who will want a refund. On top of that, thousands of Cardiff City expecting to go to the pub and watch a game of football are now Christmas shopping with their wives and girlfriends.
Statement on the Cardiff City website "Our new stadium is fitted with state of the art undersoil heating.

Statement on the Cardiff City website "Our new stadium is fitted with state of the art undersoil heating.
"Regrettably the final commissioning to ensure that it was fully operational had not been completed.
"This is due to take place in the coming week.
"We did arrange for alternative frost prevention measures to be put in place.
"Unfortunately, despite the fact that our ground staff worked through the night these were not sufficient to save today's match.
"Once the final commissioning has been completed this week it is to be hoped that such postponements will be a thing of the past."
