The winding up order order brought by the Inland Revenue against Cardiff City last month has been dismissed in the High Court the official website has announced. The debt with the Inland Revenue was for £1.2m but the club always insisted there was no need to worry has they were in talks to paid off the debt. So far the club have paid back around half of that sum and agreed a payment schedule which will see the rest paid off by the end of this year.
More good news on the finance side of the club with a deal done on the Langston debt. The club will start making regular payments in monthly installments to Langston from January.
A Cardiff City statement today said: “We can confirm that the High Court today formally dismissed the winding up order that had previously been brought by HMRC.
“This was as a result of amicable discussions between the Club and HMRC.
“We are grateful for their co-operation and support.”
