The Bluebirds havs secured a two-year deal believed to be worth £250,000 and like the now defuted 777.com deal the new sponsors are also a online operation based in the Philippines and unlike 777.com they have a European operations licensed based from the Isle of Man.
This is not there first venture into English shirt sponsorship they are the shirt sponsor of West Ham United in the Barclays Premier League until the end of the 2012/2013 season.
The new-look shirts will be on show tomorrow night at the Derby game at the Cardiff City Stadium with Chairman Peter Ridsdale saying of the new deal, "In these challenging times, it is very pleasing that the Club has secured a sponsorship contract with such a significant partner as SBOBET.
"We look forward to working with SBOBET, who are making a most meaningful contribution to enabling Cardiff City to realise our considerable potential.”
"Our new relationship with SBOBET also underlines the fact that Cardiff City, which has grown massively as a club in recent years, is in a position to attract major sponsors."
On the dark side in October 2008, SBOBET was asked to turn over any evidence they might have on the possible match fixing scandal in The Football Association Championship between Norwich City and Derby County. SBOBET denied the FA's request, deeming it was "excessive" and would be a breach of customer privacy. Derby County won the game 2-1 and in the end, the FA found no evidence that match fixing had taken place
