With the transfer window shut a few days ago Cardiff City are still being linked with players rumoured to be on a possible move to the Wales club. One of the latest is a central defender Adrian Hawes reported by the Non- League Daily he plays for Hucknall Town in the Unibond Premier who ex-Cardiff player Andy Legg played for them and managed for a short them. According to his manager he spent last week with up at Motherwell and played a trial game for them.
Up the top end of the scale Cardiff are also link with Hull City's out-of-favour striker Daniel Cousin on a loan deal, the loan deal window opens next week for the League clubs Cousin was all about to leave Hull for Burnley and thing the deal was sorted he had a pop at manager Phil Brown only for the Gabon international to see the deal fall through. Brown is now looking to loan him out and would even be prepared to pay a proportion of his wages as a sweetener to any deal.
Dave Jones recently brought in Manchester City strike Kelvin Etuhu on a season long loan as cover for the injured Ross McCormack and allow Jay Bothroyd limped out of the last game, Jones expects him to be fit for the Newcastle game.
I think we have our full quota of defenders and strikers and chairman Peter Ridsdale has said that’s it in the way of new signings, he doesn’t want to push the wage bill up. There has to be a bit of scope in the plans for the odd emergency loan
