Dirty Sanchez star stabbed

Party animal and Cardiff City fan Mathew Pritchard was in hospital last night after a stabbing incident but has now been release. Pritchard who stars in the MTV show Dirty Sanchez was stabbed in the neck in a shop in Derehan after an altercation in the shop around 5pm yesterday with the confirming a man in his 30’s was arrested at his home soon after the incident.

Police said it was “a serious assault” and change the attack on the suspicion of wounding with what they are calling an “an instrument” for the time being until evidence is collected.

The MTV star used in Twitter and Facebook pages to thank staff at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital saying “Thank you for all your best wishes it means a lot and thanks to the amazing ambulance, doctors and nurses you were great.” A spokeswoman for the East of England Co-Operative Society said: “There was an incident in our Toftwood store. None of our staff were directly involved with it.”

His friend and co-star Lee Dainton said last night: “He is lucky to be alive.”

“He was trying to tell someone to chill out and leave and the next thing he was being stabbed in the throat and chest.

“Some guy was just freaking out at the counter in this shop.

“You do not stab someone in the throat unless you are trying to kill them.

“It was just in the middle of the day. He had gone out to get some food or something.”

“I thought it was a mad, crazed stalker fan at first but it’s just some totally random guy kicking off in a shop. Pritchard has tried to diffuse the situation and he has got stabbed.”
