No sponsor for shirt

Went Cardiff City players run out onto the pitch for the start of the new season something will be missing, a sponsors name on their shirts. I like the sponsor less shirt of course the club doesn’t, the South Wales Echo are reporting the club are looking for £250,000 a season, £750,000 over three years.

Thinking back over the years the only sponsor shirt I like was the ‘South Wales Echo’ from the Rick Wright chairmanship, it was everywhere in Cardiff I have never seen a City shirt wear in should numbers since in and around town.

Chairman Peter Ridsdale was hoping to have a deal in place for Saturdays game but has run out of time and will be travel back from his Malaysian trip to be back in time for the Scunthorpe game Saturday. After a series of meeting while in Malaysia, it will be a case of wait and see what develops from the trip.
