Sky Sports is reporting that Cardiff City have sealed a deal for Dagenham & Redbridge's highly-rated midfielder Solomon Taiwo. It was reported a few weeks back after the Carling Cup game against the Division Two club of Cardiff interest with his manager saying, “He’s a player Cardiff have watched a fair bit.”The move will cost the Bluebirds around £250,000 for the player who put on a fine performance in front of the Cardiff City manager Dave Jones in Dagenham & Redbridge's 3-1 defeat at the Cardiff City Stadium. He is in South Wales according to the report putting the finishing touches to the move.
The Nigerian-born Taiwo began his career at Millwall but dropped into non-league football playing for a number of teams plus a stint in the USA with Fort Wayne Fever? There is nothing official on this story at the time of publishing.
***Update*** It looks official with his manager John Still said, "If it does goes through I will be gutted to lose him, but I've learnt that when it comes to football you cannot count on anything.
"He is a fantastic talent and he is another one in a long line who have come here and gone on to bigger things."
