I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

Sign Joe

Cardiff City boss Dave Jones is urging Joe Ledley to get around the table and sign a new contract the club are willing to offer him the transfer window close at the end of the month, the 31st. So after no one has made an offer for the Cardiff City captain it was expected he would but snapped up at the start of the summer, but it was Roger Johnson who attracted a sale see him head for the Premiership with Birmingham.

Last season there was a very late bid for Ledley the day before the transfer window closing, when Stoke City put in a £6m bid, which was turned down. This summer the list of rumours have been never-ending all Premier League clubs Stoke City, West Ham United, Hull City, Birmingham City, Wigan, and Wolves.
Dave Jones said on the BBC website, “We’ve offered him a contract with a get-out clause if someone comes in for him.
"We've never stood in anyone's way - look at Roger Johnson. At the end of the day Joe is losing money.
"Joe's got a decision to make.
"I want him to stay, but it doesn't give out the right vibes if the club captain is looking to get away.
"We'll use him while he's here but it may get harder to pick him as captain.
"We know we'll get full commitment off Joe but we want that in a contract rather than just going out and playing.
"It's like we're just getting him fit for someone else and we're not about that - we're trying to build something at this football club.
"We're happy to go until the end of the season because it then goes under the compensation rule,"

Ledley himself has one thing on his mind according to press reports, Saturday and the opening fixture Scunthorpe and any transfer talk on the back burner for now. He will be looking to score a few move goals next season and improve himself has he feels there is still more to give. The City captain thought Saturday’s game was excellent preparation for the squad with them received a good workout, “We played some good football, but two sloppy goals killed us. But a game like that is all about us trying to get our fitness back.
“You are working towards getting that bit of sharpness back and it was a good game for us.”
