Seem just a bit late in give a trialists a chance but that what Cardiff City boss Dave Jones has done just that with former Stoke City striker Vincent Pericard. He did pre-season with Stoke but didn’t play any games before he was released .He came on for Michael Chopra early in the second half, his main contribution was to gain the Bluebirds a penalty dually missed by Ross McCormack."Vincent's done a pre-season at Stoke, but then he didn't play the games," said Jones.
"They released him, but Tony Pulis rang us up to say to take a look and we'll do that. He's been out a long time with a ruptured Achilles and there's no harm in looking at someone on a free.
"We're helping him and he might help us if we decide he's right for us. If he wins a penalty every week I'll sign him!"
The trialist has one more chance to impress the Cardiff boss and this coaching staff when Cardiff play their last pre-season with a visit to Andy Legg's Llanelli on Wednesday 7:30pm kick-off. This game so close to the start of the season is normally consist of young players, but with Dave Jones having such a large squad he could give a number of players there last chance to impress as well.
