I just nip out to the shop only to come home to news we have signed a new player and I only posted earlier today about the lack of transfer news. The Manchester City's Nigerian forward/winger Kelvin Etuhu is joining the City on a loan season and joins today in time to be available for selection in tomorrow's Severnside derby against Bristol City. The 21 year-old striker is the young brother of Fulham strike Dickson Etuhu has been with Manchester City since 2006 but has been limited to a hand full of games. He has been loaned out before in 2007 with Rochdale and in 2008 he spent some time was Leicester City
With the way things are at Manchester City his chances of a playing or even a place on the bench is near on impossible with the influx of strikers so his best bet to get some playing time is a loan deal. According to the Official Cardiff City website there was competition in signing him up Premiership outfits Wolves and Portsmouth were interested securing his services.
City boss Dave Jones said about is new signing "We are really pleased to get Kelvin.
"He's a Premier League player... it looked like he was going to Wolves but there was a hitch and we stepped in.
"He's a big, pacey lad who will give us options across the front line."
