I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

McCormack puts on the style

Cardiff City want-away (Premiership only) striker Ross McCormack put all thought of the wanting a transfer stuff to the back of his mind a put in a fine performance in the 4-0 victory over Scunthorpe Saturday.

It was a bit of a surprise for most fans to see he was in starting line up and not on the beach, but boss Dave Jones lost Chris Burke to illness and McCormack not the nod. He was again playing out of position on the left rather than his preferred central striking role, which was one of his main troubles with staying with the Bluebirds. He wants a striker’s role but based on Saturday’s performance from Michael Chopra and Jay Bothroyd he could have a long wait.

Some boos could be heard when he was introduced to the fans but he soon silenced them with a fine display, with the fans by the end of the where praising him.
Manager Dave Jones was among others who was happy with the he unsettled Scotland striker who is off with the Scottish squad for a few days, and said about McCormack, "Full praise to him because I thought he was superb, his attitude went along with everybody else.
"Full credit to him because I think he thought he was going to get a lot of stick.
"But if he keeps playing the way he's playing, whether he stays or he goes, while he's here if he keeps performing to the levels that we want then no one can knock him for that."

The New South Wales columnists Nathan Blake also praised the striker for what he called a Premier performance against Championship new boys Scunthorpe. Blake also can’t see why there is all the grip over the £5m fee put on his head and he could ended up a steal at that price.

As for the player himself he thanked the fans for the backing against Scunthorpe has he was unsure of the reaction he would receive with all the rumour and counter rumour in the press surrounding him. “When I was warming up I heard a few unsavory things aimed at me.
“But once the game started I’m glad that the supporters got behind me and the team for such an important game.
“It has been an eventful couple of weeks, but I have, and always will be, totally focused playing for this club until such a time that is not the case.
“Cardiff gave me the chance to play at this level and I have always given 100% in everything I do.
“I’ve done that right the way through my career and I don’t know how to play any differently.”
“Burkey was not 100% right with a stomach bug so I was given the nod by the gaffer Dave Jones,” he said.
“All I wanted was for Cardiff to win and for me to play well, and I think that was the case.
“Whenever I put a football shirt on I play to win.
“I’m pleased that we got off to such a good start, and if I get the chance to play in the Carling Cup or at Blackpool next week I will be doing everything to be on a winning side again.”
Jones said he was delighted by McCormack’s performance as Cardiff managed their best opening-day win since 1951.
“He’s had a lot of shots and created goals for us,” said Jones.
“I haven’t got a problem with Ross.
“The only thing he can do is get on with it.”
