Ledley fit for Blackpool

Woke up this morning to news in the South Wales Echo that Joe Ledley could miss the away trip to Blackpool (I still can’t get over reading the Echo at 7am in the morning) the back page headline caught my eye straight away ‘Joe is injury doubt’ it was feared he picked up a leg strain in Montenegro friendly midweek.

He went off during halftime against Scunthorpe after he complained of feeling unwell after he had a strong opening half performance. He went on to play a full 90 minutes for Wales with no talk of any injury. However today the Echo was reporting he could have a slight injury picked up while on Welsh duty. An hour or so later the scare was all over has Cardiff City boss Dave Jones declared him fit and available for selection.

I am still concerned over any transfer interest for Ledley with the Premier League kicking-off tomorrow. A bad start for any for the number of clubs rumoured to have an interest and they could come a calling. I feel the club are holding the door open just in case there is a chance of cashing in this season but I believe both parties will come to a deal over a new contract for Ledley soon as the transfer window closes, hopefully.
