Cardiff City boss Dave Jones had more than the normal interest in Tuesday night’s opponents Dagenham and Redbridge the City boss also had a chance to take a look at their midfield player Nigerian born Solomon Taiwo.According to the South Wales Echo while in the progress of watching Dagenham and Redbridge to the run up to the Carling Cup game the Nigerian impressed the Cardiff City scouts who duly reported back the Cardiff manager. His career in English football started with non-league at Bromley he when on to play for Maidenhead, Tooting and Mitcham, Weymouth, Chesham, Windsor and Sutton United during which he had a loan spell at his present club. He also had a stint in the USA at sometime at Fort Wayne fever. Last season he was pretty much a first team regular scoring six goal, four league goals.
The Dagenham and Redbridge boss John Still is reported has saying, “He’s a player Cardiff have watched a fair bit.
“Solomon has the potential to play at a higher level.”
The Bluebirds are looking to strength their midfield and have yet to replace Paul Parry the clock is ticking down with the transfer window closing in18 days time.

Really hope you guys don't follow this up - Solly is a great player but needs another year of development with us I would say - last season was his first full season in the FL. Also we need him if we have any pretentions of pushing for the play-offs!
