Ledley and new contract

Joe Ledley might have lost the captaincy but he looks to be staying, if there are no late bids for him has he considers a new deal to stay with the Bluebirds.

Ledley will be out of contract next season and the clubs wants him to sign a new one and are willing to put a get out clause in it. It was expect he would have being sold this summer but allow there was a lot of paper talk linking him to a number of Premiership club the club received no offer for him.

Cardiff City boss Jones said “Our chairman had a discussion with Joe’s agent the other day. They put something to him, they will discuss it and see if it’s right.”

Unlike McCormack who has landed himself in hot water with the fans for his desire to play in the Premier League just after signing a new four-year contract. Ledley has the same wish but not incurred any backlash because his situation hasn’t been played out in headlines, and the fan honestly thought he would be going if the club could get the price they want for him and he constantly said he was willing to sign a new contract.
