I do know my spelling, grammar and punctuation is CRAP. I put it down to my lack of schooling preferring to mitch (truanting from school) rather than go to school. The joke is firmly on me now, which will bring a smile to any of my old English teachers.

Butterworth temporary in charge at Norwich

I was only saying this morning I wonder when the first manager to be sack now the season had started, little did I know that soon as I turned on Sky Sports News I was confronted with the news of Norwich City have sacked they manager.

I should have guessed it would have been Bryan Gunn, relegation from the Championship last season and a 7-1 home defeat on the first game of the season. The fans were quick to vent their anger as many were rushing out of the stadium to ease the pain.

Technically Gunn was sacked after one league game because last season when he took over from the then manager Glenn Roeder he was caretaker boss, it was not until May at the end of the season he was given the job permanently.

Norwich have now placed ex-Cardiff City assistant coach Ian Butterworth in temporary charge of tomorrow game and he would be looking to stake a claim to the job. He was with Cardiff City from 2000/04 and was sacked by Sam Hammam along with fitness coach Clive Goodyear. Sam Hammam said at the time about a replacement for Butterworth he wanted a "right-hand man who is a super coach, a bit of an animal".

It was a crazy time at Ninian Park after a poor start to the season fans were calling for the blood of then manager Lennie Lawrence and Hammam then broke one of his main promise he made to the club, we were a buying club not a sell call, £3m offer and off goes Rob Earnshaw to West Brom. There was a hastily arranged meeting with fans and I was there but somehow the get Lennie out brigade were turn from him to the coaching staff

Is will be Butterworth first job as front of house in the manager’s job he did have two short provide as player manager with Swedish club IK Brage and Cobh Ramblers in the late 90’s along with the Bluebirds he as been assistant coach at a number of clubs.
