***News Update***
Paul Parry has agreed personal trems and will to sign for Preston on Monday after a medical. He will therefore miss today's pre-season against Valencia at the new Cardiff City Stadium.
It has taken awhile but it would seem that Paul Parry has finally decided his future is at Preston North End. The City player went up to Preston Monday for talks but was back at Cardiff the next day training. He promised to keep in touch with Preston manager Alan Irvine has he thought over the move. It the reports are true he will be signing a three-year contract for a fee of £300,000, Cardiff with make some profit having paid £75,000 back in January 2004 to Hereford. While at Cardiff he become Welsh international but retried recently starting in 7 games. Irvine will be look to settle this quickly and Parry could play some part in Preston trip tomorrow to play Hibernian
It looked likely before the end of last season he could be move out as Cardiff City boss Dave Jones showed no compulsion to enter into new contract talks with Parry as he only has one year left on is present contract.
There is nothing official on the wires yet about the deal so it is a wait and see game. If Parry has gone Dave Jones will be looking to bring a replacement quick as the season kicks-off in 8 days for the City. I wish Parry all the best he was a good servant to Cardiff City and a City fan
